Independent water treatment plants are provided for each pool at Sir Charles Parsons School in Newcastle upon Tyne. This facilitates independent temperature control in each pool, but it also means that should one pool suffer from an accidental faecal release, then this pool can be attended to while the other pool remains in operation.
A dedicated water treatment plantroom is provided for the two pools, located adjacent to the poolside and with access direct to the outside. Provision has been made for pool filter vessel removal when the project requires refurbishment.
