Project details

Great Yarmouth Borough Council commissioned a new state of the art leisure centre on Great Yarmouth seafront to replace the old Marina Centre. The leisure centre is being operated by Freedom Leisure in partnership with the council and opened its doors to the public in August 2022. New build 25m x 6 lane competition pool with 2no. pool access lifts, a 15m x 8m training pool with full movable floor complete with self-depositing walk-in steps, and a leisure pool with children's aqua play features, play structure and 2no. flume rides.

Project role

Design phase - Review of trade design proposals and specification for 3no. pool water treatment systems, leisure water features and 2no. flume rides. Construction phase - Review of subcontractors drawings for the pool water treatment systems, leisure water features hydraulics, movable floor and pool access lifts; site monitoring of installation and commissioning.
