Lee Valley White Water Centre Course

Project details

Two artificial white water canoe courses and artificial lake constructed to host canoe slalom events for London 2012 Olympics.

Project role

Water treatment for white water courses and site monitoring of installation and commissioning.

Devin Consulting working as a sub consultant to Cundall was involved at the very onset of design, conducting research into appropriate and achievable water quality standard for the 20,000 tons of course and run out lagoon water. The water treatment system for this unique borehole fed re-circulating facility was designed to meet agreed standards. Devin also provided subcontractor design & verification services to facilitate design contract compliance. The Lee Valley White Water Centre is an iconic venue which continues to be used post-Olympics offering white water rafting, kayaking and canoeing to the public.
