Further description

The ice pad incorporates cooling pipes within a reinforced concrete permanent top slab; the header pipes are also contained within the slab, all laid on a vapour sealed insulator layer.  Three compressors provide cooling, with roof mounted adiabatic coolers for quietness and efficiency.

Heat recovery systems are utilised for the heater mat, the pre-heat of the resurface water, heating of pool water and the ice pit snow melting.
